The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ The Reckoning for mankind is drawing near, yet they are heedless and turn away. 1 Whenever any fresh admonition comes to them from their Lord, they listen to it, but do not take it seriously; 2 In sport being their hearts. And those who do wrong keep secret their private discourse this is but a human being like unto yourselves; will ye then betake yourselves to magic while ye know? 3 The Lord said, "Tell them (Muhammad), 'My Lord knows all that is said in the heavens and the earth. He is All-hearing and All-knowing ". 4 Some say, "These are his confused dreams." Others say, "He has invented it himself," and yet others say, "He is a poet. Let him bring us a sign as previous messengers did." 5 Before them, not one of the communities which We destroyed believed either. Will these believe? 6 And We sent not before you, [O Muhammad], except men to whom We revealed [the message], so ask the people of the message if you do not know. 7 We gave them not bodies that would not eat food, nor were they immortals. 8 In the end We fulfilled to them Our Promise, and We saved them and those whom We pleased, but We destroyed those who transgressed beyond bounds. 9 And assuredly We have sent down unto you a Book wherein is admonition for you; will ye not then reflect? 10
