Have you not seen how those who dispute the signs of God are turned away? 69 Those who deny the Scripture and that wherewith We send Our messengers. But they will come to know, 70 When iron collars will be rounded over their necks, and the chains, they shall be dragged along. 71 Into boiling water, then in the fire shall they be burned; 72 Then shall it be said to them: "Where are the (deities) to which ye gave part-worship- 73 Apart from God?" They will answer: "They have left us in the lurch and fled. In fact it was nothing that we prayed to before." That is how God sends the unbelievers astray. 74 [The angels will say], "That was because you used to exult upon the earth without right and you used to behave insolently. 75 Enter ye the gates of Hell as abiders therein. Hapless is the abode of the stiff-necked. 76 So be patient, surely the promise of Allah is true. So should We make you see part of what We threaten them with, or should We cause you to die, to Us shall they be returned. 77 We sent other Messengers before you; of some, We have already told you, of others We have not told you. Yet it was not for any Messenger to bring a verse except by the permission of Allah. And when the command of Allah comes the matter will be justly decided; and the vaindoers will be lost. 78
