Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
