The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
