The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
118 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa') before Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers, 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours). 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And indeed, We have created above you seven [celestial] orbits: and never are We unmindful of [any aspect of Our] creation. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
