AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 And We made the earth a base, so how well do We lay out! 48 And We created all things in pairs, so that you may ponder. 49 Therefor flee unto Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from him. 50 And set not any other god along with Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from Him. 51 Likewise, there came no messenger to those before them, but they said, "He is a sorcerer or a madman." 52 Have they (the people of the past) transmitted this saying to these (Quraish pagans)? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds (in disbelief)! 53 So turn away from them, you shall not be blamed, 54 Do, however, keep exhorting them; for exhortation benefits those endowed with faith. 55 I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me. 56 No Sustenance do I require of them, nor do I require that they should feed Me. 57 Surely, Allah is the Provider, the Possessor of Power, the Mighty. 58 And verily, they who are bent on doing evil shall have their share [of evil] like unto the share of their fellows [of old]: so let them not ask Me to hasten [their doom]! 59 Woe, then, to the Unbelievers, on account of that Day of theirs which they have been promised! 60
