No! By the moon 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 about the guilty ones: 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
