The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 By the angels hastening, 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
