And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 Which the trusted spirit descended with 193 To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And had We revealed it unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved? 203 Would they (now) hasten on Our doom? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers. 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, “Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do.” 216 and place thy trust in the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 217 Who sees you when you arise 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 For it is He Who heareth and knoweth all things. 220 [And] shall I tell you upon whom it is that those evil spirits descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
