Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known extent. 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
