The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
