The Moon (Al-Qamar)
55 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Comet (Al-Taareq) before S (Saad)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
The hour drew nigh and the moon did rend asunder. 1 And when they see a sign, they turn away and say, “Just a customary magic!” 2 They belied (the Verses of Allah, this Quran), and followed their own lusts. And every matter will be settled [according to the kind of deeds (for the doer of good deeds, his deeds will take him to Paradise, and similarly evil deeds will take their doers to Hell)]. 3 Tidings containing a deterrent have come to them 4 profound in wisdom, but all warnings have been of no avail: 5 So leave them, [O Muhammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding, 6 they will come out of their graves, their eyes cast down, hastening towards their Summoner as locusts rushing about. 7 They will hasten forward to the caller, gazes fixed. And the unbelievers will say: "This is the day of untold woe." 8 ۞ There belied before them the people of Nuh. So they belied Our bondman and said: a madman; and moreover he was reproven. 9 Then he invoked his Lord (saying): "I have been overcome, so help (me)!" 10 Then We opened the gates of heaven unto water torrential, 11 and We caused the earth to burst with gushing springs: so that the waters met for a purpose which had been decreed. 12 But We bore him on a (vessel made) of planks and oakum, 13 and it floated under Our eyes: a recompense for him who had been rejected with ingratitude. 14 And assuredly We left it for a sign. Is there then anyone who would be admonished? 15 How terrible was My torment and the result of (their disregard) of My warning. 16 Easy have We made the Qur'an to understand: So is there any one who will be warned? 17 TO THE TRUTH gave the lie [the tribe of] Ad: and how severe was the suffering which I inflicted when My warnings were disregarded! 18 We sent a tumultuous wind against them on a day of unremitting misfortune, 19 Extracting the people as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted. 20 How (great) was then My punishment and My warning! 21 We have made the Koran easy to remember, is there any that will remember? 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
