The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 Created man, 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 And He appointed the earth for the creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 18 He let forth the two seas that meet together, 19 With an interstice between them which they cannot cross. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
