Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
