Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Hast thou observed him who belieth religion? 1 It is he who pusheth away the orphan, 2 And does not encourage the feeding of the poor. 3 Woe, then, unto those praying ones 4 But who are oblivious of their moral duties, 5 Those who make show [of their deeds] 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
