Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
