The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 107 so fear Allah, and obey me. 108 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?" 111 He said: "It is not for me to know what they were doing. 112 If only you would realize, their account is with my Lord. 113 Hence, I shall not drive away [any of] those [who profess to be] believers; 114 I am none but a plain warner." 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 He said: "My Lord! My people have branded me a liar. 117 therefore, judge decisively between me and them; and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 Thereafter We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden Ark 119 And drowned the rest of them. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122
