[Musa (Moses)] said: "O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness). 25 And make my mission easy. 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 “That, ‘Put him into a chest and cast it into the river, so the river shall deposit it on to a shore therefore one who is an enemy to Me and you, shall pick him up’; and I bestowed upon you love from Myself; and for you to be brought up in My sight.” 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 Go, you and your brother with My signs, and do not be negligent of My Remembrance. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 He said, “Do not fear I am with you, All Hearing and All Seeing.” 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Who then, O Musa (Moses), is the Lord of you two?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,- 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
