“O Noble Messengers, eat good clean things, and do good deeds; I know all that you do.” 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its belief. 53 Therefore leave them in their overwhelming ignorance till 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 We are hastening them on to good things? Aye! they perceive not. 56 Verily, [only] they who stand in reverent awe of their Sustainer, 57 And they who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 And they who do not associate anything with their Lord 59 And those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord;- 60 to God, these are the ones who really compete with each other in virtuous deeds and are the foremost ones in the task. 61 And We task not any soul except according to its capacity, and with Us is a book speaking with truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. 63 Till when We grasp their luxurious ones with the punishment, behold! they supplicate. 64 We shall tell them, "Do not cry for help on this day; you will receive none from Us". 65 My communications were indeed recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels, 66 In arrogance; talking nonsense about the Quran, and left him like one telling fables by night. 67 Have they not pondered the Word, or hath that come unto them which came not unto their fathers of old? 68 Or is it that they have not recognized their Apostle, so that they deny him? 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 Had the truth followed their caprices, the heavens and the earth and whosoever in them is had surely corrupted. Nay, We brought them their Remembrance, but from their Remembrance they turned. 71 Or, do you ask a tribute from them? Your Lord's tribute is better. He is the Best of providers. 72 Assuredly thou art calling them to a straight path; 73 And indeed those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviated from the Straight Path. 74 ۞ And even were We to show them mercy and remove whatever distress might befall them [in this life,] they would still persist in their overweening arrogance, blindly stumbling to and fro. 75 We inflicted Punishment on them, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor do they submissively entreat (Him)!- 76 Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. 77
