And those who disbelieve say: What! when we have become dust and our fathers (too), shall we certainly be brought forth? 67 Indeed we and our fathers had been promised this before. It is nothing but the earlier people's lore." 68 Say: 'Journey in the land, then behold how was the end of the sinners.' 69 And grieve thou not for them, nor be in distress because of what they plot (against thee). 70 And they ask: 'When will this promise come, if what you say is true' 71 Say: "Perhaps some of what you wish to hasten is right behind you." 72 But verily thy Lord is full of grace to mankind: Yet most of them are ungrateful. 73 And verily, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they reveal. 74 All the secrets in heavens and earth are recorded in the illustrious Book. 75 BEHOLD, this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel most [of that] whereon they hold divergent views; 76 And most surely it is a guidance and a mercy for the believers. 77 Indeed, your Lord will judge between them by His [wise] judgement. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. 78 Therefore put your trust in Allah, for you are upon a clear truth. 79 Indeed the dead* do not listen to your call nor do the deaf* listen to your call, when they flee turning back. (The dead and deaf implies the disbelievers.) 80 Nor do you guide the blind out of their error, nor do you make any to hear, except those who believe in Our verses and are Muslims. 81 ۞ When the sentence will have been passed against them, We shall bring forth beastly brutes from the earth who will torment them, for men certainly do not believe Our signs. 82
