Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 a warning to mortal man 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except those of the right hand 39 who will be in Paradise 40 about the guilty ones: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
