Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is before him. 5 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?' 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
