We settled the Children of Israel in a beautiful dwelling-place, and provided for them sustenance of the best: it was after knowledge had been granted to them, that they fell into schisms. Verily Allah will judge between them as to the schisms amongst them, on the Day of Judgment. 93 So, if thou art in doubt regarding what We have sent down to thee, ask those who recite the Book before thee. The truth has come to thee from thy Lord; so be not of the doubters, 94 nor be of those who have called God's revelations lies lest you become lost. 95 Those against whom the word of thy Lord hath been verified would not believe- 96 though every sign come to them, till they see the painful chastisement. 97 If only there had been a community (of all those that were destroyed of old) that believed and profited by its belief as did the folk of Jonah! When they believed We drew off from them the torment of disgrace in the life of the world and gave them comfort for a while. 98 If your Lord had willed, all the people on the earth would have come to believe, one and all. 99 No soul can believe except by the permission of Allah. Upon those who do not understand lays His punishment. 100 Say: Consider what is it that is in the heavens and the earth; and signs and warners do not avail a people who would not believe. 101 Can such, then, expect anything else [to befall them] but the like of the days of [calamity which befell] those [deniers of the truth] who passed away before them? Say: "Wait, then, [for what will happen] verily, I shall wait with you!" 102 Then, (when Allah's wrath falls upon the wicked) We save our Messengers and also those who believe.
