T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not sent down the Koran to you for you to be tired, 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 Verily I am God; there is no god but I; therefore serve Me, and perform the prayer of My remembrance. 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 Hence, let not anyone who does not believe in its coming and follows [but] his own desires divert thee from [belief in] it, lest thou perish! 16 "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 [Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses." 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 'Take it, and do not fear' He said, 'We will restore it to its former state. 21 Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
