Hizb 46

Jonah was certainly a Messenger. 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 The fish then swallowed him and he blamed himself. (For not waiting for Allah’s command.) 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ We cast him out of the fish unto dry land and he was sick. 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 They used to say: 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 And peace be unto the sent ones. 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
