The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The All-merciful 1 Hath taught the Qur'an. 2 He has created man: 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure, 7 So that none may err against the scales, 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 He is the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests. 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has made the two oceans meet each other, 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
