The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Al-Qari'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection), 1 How awesome the sudden calamity! 2 And what do you know what the Calamity is? 3 A day wherein mankind will be as thickly-scattered moths 4 and the mount-ains like tufts of carded wool. 5 Then, as for him whose scales are heavy (with good works), 6 He shall live a pleasant life. 7 But he whose deeds are lighter in the balance 8 his shall be the deep pit for a dwelling. 9 Would that you knew what hawiya his? 10 It is the scorching fire. 11
