Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 Nay! you shall soon know, 3 Nay, but ye will come to know! 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
