Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 My Lord! then place me not among the wrong-doing people. 94 And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. 95 Repel evil with the best deeds; We well know the matters that they fabricate. 96 and say, "My Lord, I seek refuge with You from the prompting of the devils. 97 "And I seek refuge with Thee O my Lord! lest they should come near me." 98 Until, when death comes to one of them he says: 'My Lord, let me go back, 99 That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected. 100 And when the Horn is blown, on that Day their ties of kindred shall be no more, nor will they ask each other. 101 then those whose scales weigh heavy with good works will be successful. 102 and he whose scales are light -- they have lost their souls in Gehenna dwelling forever, 103 the Fire smiting their faces the while they glower there. 104 "Are you not those to whom My revelations were recited, and you dubbed them as lies?" 105 They will exclaim: "O our Sustainer! Our bad luck has overwhelmed us, and so we went astray! 106 O our Lord! take us forth from it; then if we return, we shall be wrong-doers indeed. 107 He (Allah) will say: "Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me!" 108 Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.' 109 But you took them for a laughing-stock, till they made you forget My remembrance, mocking at them. 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, so that they, and they alone, are triumphant." 111 He will say, “How long did you stay on earth, counting by the number of years? 112 They will reply: 'A day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count' 113 He (Allah) will say: "You stayed not but a little, if you had only known! 114 "Do you imagine that We created you without any purpose and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King! there is no god but he, Lord of the Throne honoured. 116 And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed. 117 And say thou: my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones. 118
