The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the inevitable event comes, 1 Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 2 abasing [some,] exalting [others]! 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 and the mountains crumbled 5 So that they will become floating dust particles. 6 And you shall be three sorts. 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 Then the foremost, how pre-excellent, 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 in the Gardens of Delight 12 a good many of those of olden times, 13 and how few of the later folk) 14 [They will be seated] on gold-encrusted thrones of happiness, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Surrounded by immortal boys. 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of pure drink; 18 neither causing headaches, nor intoxication; 19 And fruit that they prefer 20 And flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And gorgeous eyed fair maidens. 22 like pearls preserved in their shells, 23 As recompense for all they had done. 24 They will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin, 25 But only the saying of: Salam!, Salam! (greetings with peace)! 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 Among thorn-less lote-trees. 28 and banana trees, 29 And extended shade, 30 and waters gushing, 31 And plenty of fruits. 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 And [upon] beds raised high. 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 So made them as maidens. 36 Beloved (by nature), equal in age,- 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
