۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 In a Book kept hidden 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 (This Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Is it this Statement that ye scorn, 81 And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 82 Wherefore then - when the soul cometh up to the wind-pipe 83 Whereas you watch at that moment! 84 We are closer to him than you, even though you cannot see? 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 then for him there shall be comfort and plenty and a Garden of Bliss; 89 And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand, 90 (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 91 But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islamic Monotheism), 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And roasting in a Blaze. 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 Then praise your Lord, the most supreme. 96
