The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
