The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 Therefore give them some respite give them some time. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
