Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 and the day as it rises bright! 2 And Him who created the male and female, 3 Your striving is most surely (directed to) various (ends). 4 As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah) 5 And believes in the best [reward], 6 We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss. 7 But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient. 8 and rejects what is right, 9 for him shall We make easy the path towards hardship: 10 and what will his wealth avail him when he goes down [to his grave]? 11 Surely Ours is it to show the way, 12 and, behold, Ours is [the dominion over] the life to come as well as [over] this earlier part [of your life]: 13 Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire 14 No one will burn in it but the most wretched, 15 Who belieth and turneth away. 16 One who fears God shall be kept away from it -- 17 even he who gives his wealth. to purify himself 18 And not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded 19 Except the seeking of the pleasure of his Lord, the Most High. 20 Will surely be gratified. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
