Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 God has certainly power to bring him back. 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 it is no merriment. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
