Seest thou one who turns back, 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
