He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ HE FROWNED AND turned away, 1 Because there came to him the blind man. 2 How could you know? Perhaps he would cleanse himself, 3 or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? 4 As for him who regardeth himself self-sufficient 5 to him thou attendest 6 though you are not to blame if he would not cleanse himself. 7 And as for him who cometh unto thee running, 8 and fearfully, 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 Not this way – this is the advice. 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 In honored books, 13 exalted and purified, 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 Noble, virtuous. 16 Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he. 17 Of what did He create him? 18 Out of a sperm-drop did He create him and then determined a measure for him, 19 He makes his path easy for him. 20 Then He caused him to die and be buried 21 Then He will raise him up again when He please. 22 Not one – he has not yet completed what he was commanded. 23 Let man reflect on the food he eats. 24 We poured down rain abundantly, 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 And We made corn grow, 27 And grapes and herbage 28 and olive trees and date palms 29 And enclosed gardens luxuriant. 30 And fruits and herbage: 31 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. 32 But when the great calamity comes 33 On the Day a man will flee from his brother 34 And his mother and his father, 35 his wife and his children. 36 on that Day every man among them will have enough concern of his own -- 37 Some faces on that day shall shine 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news; 39 And other faces that Day will be dust-stained, 40 and covered by darkness. 41 these, these will be the ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity! 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
