The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the Night as it conceals (the light); 1 And by the day as it appears in brightness; 2 Consider the creation of the male and the female! 3 surely your striving is to diverse ends. 4 For him that gives and fears (Allah) 5 and affirmed the Truth of goodness: 6 We shall surely ease him to the Easing. 7 But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need 8 and rejects what is right, 9 We will make smooth for him the path for evil; 10 and their wealth will be of no benefit to them when they face destruction. 11 Truly! Ours it is (to give) guidance, 12 And verify Ours is both the Hereafter and the life present. 13 Therefore I warn you of the fire that flames: 14 None shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones 15 who rejected the Truth, calling it falsehood and turned his back on it. 16 One who fears God shall be kept away from it -- 17 [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself 18 They do not expect any reward 19 except the pleasure of their Lord, the Most High 20 He will surely be well-pleased (with him). 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
