And indeed, We created man from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud. 26 And the jinn, We created aforetime from the smokeless flame of fire. 27 When your Lord said to the angels, "I will create the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay. 28 When I have shaped him and ran My created soul in him fall down prostrating towards him'. 29 So, the angels - all of them - fell down in prostration, 30 But Iblis did not; he refused to be with the prostrates. 31 He said: O Iblis! What aileth thee that thou art not among the prostrate? 32 He replied, "I am not one to prostrate myself to a man whom You have created out of a clay of moulded mud." 33 "Go hence, execrable," (said the Lord), "from this place, 34 and the curse shall be on you till the Day of Judgement!" 35 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 36 He said: Then lo! thou art of those reprieved 37 till that Appointed Day." 38 He said, “My Lord! I swear by the fact that You sent me astray, I shall distract them in the earth, and I shall lead all of them astray.” 39 except Your sincere servants". 40 Allah said: this is the path leading unto Me straight. 41 Indeed, My servants - no authority will you have over them, except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 Hell is the promised place for them all. 43 There are seven gates in it, and to each gate a portion of them has been allotted. 44
