The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
