And we sent Moses, with Our Clear (Signs) and an authority manifest, 96 To Firon and his chiefs, but they followed the bidding of Firon, and Firon's bidding was not right-directing. 97 He shall lead his people on the resurrection day, and bring them down to the fire; and evil the place to which they are brought. 98 Damned will they be in this world, and on the Day of Doom how evil the gift that they will receive! 99 These are a few accounts of settlements that We narrate to you. Some still survive, and some have been mowed down. 100 And We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves. And they were not availed at all by their gods which they invoked other than Allah when there came the command of your Lord. And they did not increase them in other than ruin. 101 And thus is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the cities while they are committing wrong. Indeed, His seizure is painful and severe. 102 Surely in that is a sign for him who fears the chastisement of the Hereafter. That will be a Day when all men shall be mustered together; that will be a Day when whatever happens shall be witnessed by all. 103 Nor shall We delay it but for a term appointed. 104 On the day when it shall come, no soul shall speak except with His permission, then (some) of them shall be unhappy and (others) happy. 105 As for those who are wretched, they will be in the Fire, sighing in a high and low tone. 106 and there they shall live for ever, as long as the heavens and the earth endure, and as your Lord wills. Indeed, your Lord accomplishes whatsoever He will. 107 ۞ And those who are blessed shall be in the Garden: They will dwell therein for all the time that the heavens and the earth endure, except as thy Lord willeth: a gift without break. 108 So do not be in doubt, [O Muhammad], as to what these [polytheists] are worshipping. They worship not except as their fathers worshipped before. And indeed, We will give them their share undiminished. 109
