Do not abandon your children out of fear of poverty. We will provide for them and for you. Killing them is certainly a great wrong. 31 And come not near to the unlawful sexual intercourse. Verily, it is a Fahishah [i.e. anything that transgresses its limits (a great sin)], and an evil way (that leads one to Hell unless Allah forgives him). 32 Nor take life - which Allah has made sacred - except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand qisas or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life; for he is helped (by the Law). 33 Do not get close to the property of the orphans (unless it is for a good reason) until they are mature and strong. Keep your promise; you will be questioned about it. 34 Give full measure when you are measuring, and weigh on a balanced scale. This is better, and excellent its consequence. 35 Do not follow what you do not know; the ears, eyes, and hearts will all be held responsible for their deeds. 36 Do not walk proudly on the earth. You cannot cleave the earth, nor can you rival the mountains in height. 37 Of all this related before, the evil among it is disliked by your Lord. 38 That is part of that wisdom which thy Lord hath revealed unto thee, and set not up thou along with Allah another god, lest thou be cast into Hell, reproved, rejected. 39 Hath then your Lord distinguished you with sons and taken for Himself females from among the angels? Verily ye say a saying mighty? 40
