۞ We said to Moses: "Travel by night with My creatures. You will surely be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities musterers: 53 saying: "These (Israelites) are only a small band of people 54 "And verily, they have done what has enraged us; 55 seeing that we are, verily, a nation united, fully prepared against danger 56 So, We expelled them from gardens and springs, 57 Treasures, and every kind of honourable position; 58 Thus it was; and We made the children of Israel possess them. 59 Pharaoh and his people pursued them at sunrise, 60 and as soon as the two hosts came in sight of one another, the followers of Moses exclaimed: "Behold, we shall certainly be overtaken [and defeated]!" 61 Moses said, "Certainly not. My Lord is with me and He will certainly guide me." 62 Then We revealed unto Musa, saying: smite thou the sea with thy staff. So it became separated, and each part was like unto a cliff mighty. 63 Then We brought the others to that place. 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, every one; 65 and then We caused the others to drown. 66 Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. 67 Your Lord is certainly Majestic and All-merciful. 68
