Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
