Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? - 24 They entered to him and said: 'Peace' And he replied: 'Peace, you are people unknown to me' 25 Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf 26 and laid it before them, saying: “Will you not eat?” 27 So he conceived in his mind a fear on account of them. They said: Fear not. And they gave him the good news of a boy possessing knowledge. 28 Then his wife came forward with a loud voice, she smote her face, and said: "A barren old woman!" 29 They said, "This is true but your Lord has said, (that you will have a son); He is All-wise and All-knowing". 30 ۞ Abraham asked, "What is your errand, O messengers?" 31 They replied: 'We are sent to a sinful nation, 32 That we may send down upon them stones of baked clay. 33 They are transgressors in the presence of your Lord". 34 And in the course of time We brought out [of Lot 's city] such [few] believers as were there: 35 We found in it only one household of true believers -- 36 And We kept a sign remaining in it, for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 AND IN [the story of Pharaoh and] Moses, too, [We left the same message: for] when We sent him unto Pharaoh with [Our] manifest authority, 38 The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". 39 So We seized him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. Indeed, he was blameworthy. 40 And in Ad: When We sent upon them the destructive wind. 41 Which turned everything it touched to ashes. 42 And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" 43 But they rebelled against the command of their Lord. So the thunderbolt overtook them while they looked on: 44 And they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. 45 [We destroyed] the people of Noah before them. They were certainly a sinful people. 46
