No! By the moon 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 Warn the men. 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 Till death overtook us. 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
