Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
