He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 Or become reminded so that the reminder should profit him? 4 As for he who thinks himself without need, 5 to him didst thou give thy whole attention, 6 What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). 7 But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose 8 and who has fear of God, 9 you pay him no heed. 10 Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition, 11 So let whosoever will pay heed to it, 12 (It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour, 13 Exalted, Purified, 14 [Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels, 15 noble and virtuous scribes. 16 Perish man! how ungrateful he is! 17 Of what thing did He create him? 18 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, 19 Then He eased the way for him; 20 He will then send him to death and have him laid in the grave. 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 Nay, but [man] has never yet fulfilled what He has enjoined upon him! 23 Let man look at his food: 24 We poured down rain abundantly, 25 Then split the earth in clefts 26 then caused the grain to grow out of it, 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 and the olive, and the palm, 29 and dense-tree'd gardens, 30 And fruits and herbage 31 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry comes, 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 wife and sons, 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 Many faces will that day be bright, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news; 39 And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust. 40 Covered with the blackness (of shame): 41 Those! they are the infidels, the ungodly. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
