Say: I am only a warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer (of all): 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say, "It (facts about the supremacy of God) is the greatest message, 67 "From which ye do turn away! 68 "I had no knowledge of the chiefs (angels) on high when they were disputing and discussing (about the creation of Adam). 69 Only this has been revealed to me that I am a distinct warner. 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 and when I give it proper shape and blow My spirit into it, bow down in prostration to him," 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them: 73 Except Iblees; he was arrogant and became among the disbelievers. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?" 75 Said Iblis, “I am better than him; You made me from fire, and You have created him from clay!” 76 He said: “Get out of here; surely you are accursed, 77 My condemnation will be with you until the Day of Judgment!" 78 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 79 Answered He: "Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 80 until the day of the known time.' 81 He said: "By Your authority, I will lead them astray, 82 Except, among them, Your chosen servants." 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 “That I will fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all together.” 85 Say thou: I ask of you for it no hire, nor am I of the affecters. 86 It is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 87 You will certainly know its truthfulness after a certain time. 88
