and We delivered the Children of Israel from the humbling chastisement, 30 From Firon; surely he was haughty, (and) one of the extravagant. 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 And We gave them signs in which lay clear favours. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 So bring our ancestors back, if you are truthful." 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play, 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Assuredly the Day of Decision is the term for all of them, 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
